10/10, TOP OF THE LEAGUE — VAN DIJK’S 130M ASK STILL HAS ZERO BIDS

A man-of-the-match masterclass has not shifted Liverpool’s unstarted auction after 1,197 hours.

10/10, TOP OF THE LEAGUE — VAN DIJK’S 130M ASK STILL HAS ZERO BIDS

Virgil van Dijk produced a 10 at Manchester Blue. Liverpool are top. The transfer market still answered with nothing.

That 130M SVC is Liverpool’s asking price, not somebody else’s bid. At our September 4, 14:18 UTC check, the live auction showed an empty bid list, no high bidder, no start and no end time.

Ten on the pitch, zero at auction

Since the Times last checked on August 18, Van Dijk has added 270 league minutes.

His finest answer came at Manchester Blue on August 29: four key tackles, two key passes and the official man-of-the-match award in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory. The fixture feed rated him 10. He then completed another 90 minutes as Brentford were beaten 2-0.

The 35-year-old’s season now stands at seven league starts, 630 minutes, three clean sheets, one assist, two man-of-the-match awards and a 7.29 average rating. Biarritz’s Liverpool lead ENG Division 1 with 21 points from 11 matches.

Van Dijk remains rated 93, Liverpool’s highest-rated defender and the only centre-back rated 93 or higher on the live market.

Another 422 hours of silence

The archive stamps the current listing at July 16, 16:51 UTC. By this check it had stood untouched for 1,197 full hours — 49 days and 21 hours.

Our previous report caught the stalemate at 775 hours. Another 422 full hours have passed. Same price. Same zero bids.

The board has moved around him: Van Dijk’s ask was fifth-highest among 8,837 listings then; it is now sixth among 8,959. All five higher asking prices are also bidless.

That silence comes despite 1.281B SVC of game-wide transfer volume over the latest seven days, up 31.0% on the previous seven-day period. Money is moving, right. Just not at the very top of the asking-price board.

The buyer’s problem

The 130M demand is 10.02 times Van Dijk’s 12.974M SVC game value. Only 14 of Soccerverse’s 5,350 clubs currently show balances large enough to meet it — 0.26% — before any other commitments.

Buyers must also weigh his 510,420 SVC wage and one season remaining on his current Liverpool contract against that elite output. Manager UnAndaluz offered a blunt community verdict on August 27:

Van Dijk is getting old. If he wanted to sell him for a good price, I think he’s already missed his chance

The next trigger is an opening bid. Without one, the auction remains unstarted and carries no deadline.

The defender is delivering. The deal is not.
