Scottish football is supposed to be a two-chair argument. Soccerverse has just dragged in a third.

Glasgow Green B have entered SCO Division 1 after consecutive promotions, both secured from third place. They rose from Division 3 in Season 2, climbed through Division 2 with 65 points in Season 3 and opened their top-flight life by drawing 0-0 at Dunfermline.

That score hid a small insurrection. The newcomers had 69% possession and outshot their hosts 23-7. Only five saves from man of the match Rúben Rendeiro Barros prevented a debut victory.

Their fanbase has grown from 1,116 to 6,702 — almost exactly sixfold. Yet the squad is worth only 9.69M SVC and its top-21 average rating is 62. This is not a superpower arriving fully formed. It is a project that has refused to stop climbing.

The strangest job advert in Scotland

Senior Glasgow Green manager socryptic is also the B side’s largest listed influencer, holding 40,736 shares. On July 20, he took to the community jobs channel.

The post calls the team Celtic 2; the live game displays it as Glasgow Green B. Current data still lists sdk1967 as manager, with 49 wins, 28 draws and 22 defeats across 99 matches, and no formal job posting is active. This is therefore a recruitment signal, not evidence of a confirmed dismissal.

What is confirmed is delicious enough: Glasgow Green and Glasgow Green B are scheduled to meet on September 19 and December 2. Scotland’s champions will face the side carrying their name in the same league.

More points, fewer crowns

Ask who dominates Scotland today and the table offers a trap. Aberdeen are first after beating Dingwall 3-0, but only one round has been played and seven clubs have three points.

The completed seasons give the real answer: Scotland is a Glasgow duopoly with no undisputed king.

Glasgow Green won Seasons 1 and 3. Glasgow Blue won Season 2. Yet across those three 34-match campaigns, Blue accumulated 264 points to Green’s 245, scored 382 goals to 353 and conceded only 46 to Green’s 55. Blue lost just four of 102 league matches — and still own fewer championships.

Green won their crowns by one point and three points. They also lifted the Season 2 SCO Cup, meaning they have taken a domestic trophy in every completed season. The cup itself has changed hands each time: Edinburgh, Glasgow Green, then Glasgow Blue.

Season 4 opened with another twist of the knife. Blue beat the reigning champions 2-1 away before 58,584 spectators, through Václav Černý and man of the match Dujon Sterling. Liam Scales replied too late.

SnakeEyes has now recorded 104 wins and only six defeats in 140 matches across all competitions during one uninterrupted Glasgow Blue spell. Socryptic’s current Glasgow Green spell stands at 90 wins from 124. Blue also hold 144.26M SVC in cash, more than four times Green’s 35.91M — although Green possess the higher-rated squad, 84 to 81.

That is Scotland’s defining paradox: Blue have the consistency and the money; Green have more league crowns and the stronger current squad.

The men who made the goals ridiculous

Cyriel Dessers is the domestic scoring king. The Glasgow Blue striker struck 90 league goals in 92 appearances across the first three seasons: 31, 30 and 29.

Team-mate Danilo Pereira added 81 in the same number of appearances. Together, the pair supplied 171 league goals for Blue.

Glasgow Green’s answer was Daizen Maeda. He has 55 goals across 77 league appearances, including 32 in 32 during the Season 3 title triumph. These are already Scotland’s Soccerverse legends — not because of inherited reputations, but because the match data has become absurd.

A prediction that grew twelve points

Edinburgh, currently second after an opening 3-1 win over Paisley, have Scotland’s most human prospect story.

The challengers at the gate

• Aberdeen — eighth, eighth and ninth across the first three seasons, but first today after overwhelming Dingwall with 68% possession and 18 shots. It is an opening flare, not yet a revolution.
• Falkirk — Season 3 Division 2 champions with 81 points, 86 goals scored and only 15 conceded. They began top-flight life by winning 1-0 at fellow promoted side Cove. Their 564,863 SVC balance is the smallest in the division, while current manager ThatGuy has won 20 of his 29 matches.
• Edinburgh — Season 1 cup winners, Season 2 league runners-up and now home to Wilson’s return. Their 3-1 opening win suggests the capital still intends to interrupt Glasgow’s argument.

Scotland has not escaped its two giants. Glasgow Green and Glasgow Blue remain the only league champions Soccerverse has known there.

But the fourth season already feels different. A second Green side has climbed into their room, Falkirk have arrived on a shoestring, Aberdeen are temporarily looking down on everybody, and a community member’s teenage hunch has become a 76-rated starter.

The crown still belongs to Glasgow. The stories no longer do.
