Let’s pin the deal sheet down before anybody hollers: 183,099,227 SVC is Monaco’s minimum asking price for Jan Kehrer. It is not a bid.

No club has offered that sum. In fact, no club has offered anything.

Kehrer was listed at 21:05 UTC on 9 July. When the Times checked at 02:57 UTC on 21 July, 269 full hours had passed. The live record still showed zero bids, no high bidder and no end time; the auction remained unstarted.

Twelve times his value

Kehrer is valued at 15,258,268.98 SVC, putting Monaco’s price tag effectively at 12 times his game value. One other live listing matches that minimum and none is higher, making this the market’s joint-highest asking price.

The scale is even clearer inside Monaco. Their entire squad is valued at 173,904,222.79 SVC — 9.20M less than the Kehrer asking price — while the club’s 22,889,936.30 SVC cash balance is almost exactly one-eighth of it.

Kehrer’s 510,420 SVC wage line also accounts for 18.4% of Monaco’s 2,775,000 SVC total.

This is no cast-off

The 29-year-old German is Monaco’s only player rated 90 or higher. Primarily a centre-back, he can cover left-back and right-back too, carrying 91 tackling, 81 passing and 80 shooting ratings.

He is currently happy, has no concerns and is available after recovering from injury on 25 June, although his fitness stands at 86.

Last season he made 32 league appearances, logging 2,426 minutes, three goals, one assist and eight clean sheets at an average rating of 6.84. He then played the full 90 minutes and earned a 7 in Monaco’s opening 0-0 draw with Auxerre.

Monaco sit 10th after that first game and visit Toulouse on Wednesday. Selling their best-rated player would carry a sporting cost as well as a very large receipt.

A wild-market price, but still only a price

Monaco’s recent business supplies the financial backdrop, although it does not prove why Kehrer was listed. They paid 35,788,500 SVC for Sota Kitano on 5 July and another 80,133,300 SVC for Zion Suzuki on 16 July — combined spending of 115,921,800 SVC.

If somebody eventually meets Kehrer’s minimum, the fee would rank fifth among completed Season 4 transfers. Only four recorded deals sit higher, led by Harry Kane’s 398.6M SVC move.

But that is the hypothetical. The checked deal sheet contains no offer, no bidding war and no imminent transfer — only the live market’s joint-highest price tag and an empty bid column.
