Discord Threw Its Own Parade While The Noticeboard Napped

Awards, tools, bridge tests and promotion chants made #general and #match-chatter the real community-news desk this week.

# Discord Threw Its Own Parade While The Noticeboard Napped

Nobody waited for a brass band, la. The official rooms were quiet: #sv-announcement shows 3 messages in the last 7 days, and #sv-community-news had 6 public messages across 14 days with no pulse spike. So where did the wins go? Straight into #general-chat and #match-chatter, because of course they did.

Awards Season Got Loud

Gevenito lit the first flare on June 12 with the I.A.M Awards update, saying the last 50 nominees had been reviewed and the Season 3 top 20 were ready for the Nickx livestream on June 13.

THE WAIT FOR THE TOP 20 NOMINEES IS FINALLY OVER!

Nickx (Napoli) then billed the stream with a Brett Whipp interview, Top20 IAM Awards and "Big News". By the next morning, snaus74 had given the newcomer verdict.

There was a cleaner, nicer thread too: the Fair Play Manager & Agent Award. The post laid out four phases: public nomination, shortlist to five, community vote, then winner announcement. The deadline was posted as June 15, 2026.

The award should be about Respect, Sportsmanship, Integrity & adherence to rule.

Fair shout. A server that spends half its life arguing about agents still found time to nominate the people who help, trade cleanly and answer questions without turning every reply into a courtroom scene.

Toolmakers Still Building

The community-build corner had a proper win as well. On June 12, amazmo_shorts announced SVC Showdown, a World Cup 2026 side game built by gamestx, with all 104 matches tracked, influence-based scoring, top player and ROI leaderboards, plus retro and live buyer tables. The post also made clear it is unofficial and not affiliated with Soccerverse or FIFA.

Then Cipi | El Rincon del DT turned up on June 14 with another useful link: a table of utility lifetime by position and age. Not noisy, not dramatic, just another community tool dropped into the room like a spanner on the table. Nice one.

The Bridge Started Talking

Small line, big infrastructure mood: snailbrain posted early on June 14 that the Discord/Game bridge should now work in #general-chat.

Discord/Game bridge should work for this channel now.

snailbrain

Game Chat messages followed in the same channel, including test messages from snailbrain, while nexusvhh_67088 flagged that username mentions still needed attention. Tiny bug-hunt? Maybe. But a live bridge between the game and Discord is the sort of thing that changes how the pub talks to the pitch.

Promotions, Titles And The Happy Noise

#match-chatter did what #match-chatter does best: congratulated people, sweated final games and pretended it was all under control.

congrats on securing promotion. Can still win the league too if I blunder.

username_hamburgler

That one was aimed at snailbrain. Elsewhere, sorareportugal had Porto one point from the title, Frankfurt chasing Champions League qualification, and Alpendorada already over the line.

Royal Leamington Spa got another shout as well. The live game data has them top of ENG Division 7, and username_hamburgler's long speech in #general was less celebration and more final-game tunnel talk. The Brakes are not just up in the conversation, they're demanding the crown too.

So that is the roundup, pal: the formal noticeboards barely stirred, but the community still managed awards, nominations, a World Cup tool, a new bridge, fresh analysis links and promotion noise. Keep it tidy, but keep shouting the good bits.
