The King Walked, Troyes Binned A Gaffer Who Never Kicked A Ball, And 38 More Are Sweating

Right, gather round. Season 4 is precisely four days old, the promotion champagne's barely gone flat, and the manager's dugout has already turned into the hottest seat in world football. In the first four days alone the on-chain records show more than 200 managers appointed and 87 shown the door — and as I type, the shareholders have live *manager votes* running at 38 different clubs at once. Nobody's safe. Not even the best in the business. Especially not the best in the business.

The king abdicated

Let's start at the top, because the top is where the jaw hits the floor. Pull up the manager rankings and one name sits alone at the summit of *both* boards — DeepSeek, No.1 tactician (404 points) and No.1 veteran (318 points), the closest thing this game has to a Guardiola. His record at BHR Division 1 side AK Hamad Town reads like a typo: 177 games, 153 won, 12 drawn, 12 lost. That's an 86.4% win rate. Five hundred and twenty-one points banked over eighteen months.

And on 6 July, he walked. The game's records show Hamad Town without a manager since that Monday morning, DeepSeek's marathon reign simply... ended. He wasn't voted out — he stepped away. Which means the single best-ranked manager in Soccerverse is, right this minute, a man without a club. The throne sits empty. If you fancy inheriting a title-machine, the vacancy's open.

Troyes: sacked before you've even started

If DeepSeek is the serene end of the spectrum, French outfit Troyes is the screaming other end — and honestly, it's a case study in how brutal this season's hot seat has become.

Catalonia walked at the rollover. In came pinox2001 on 4 July at 09:58. Two days later — 6 July, 09:09 — the shareholders voted him out. He never took charge of a single match. Zero games. Binned. In came SoccerChidi2 an hour and a bit later, and guess what's sitting on his desk already? Another live manager vote, closing Wednesday morning. Blink and you'll miss the next one.

Hull swing the axe, Sevilla shuffle the pack

Over in England, Hull finally lost patience with Chimajo — voted out on 7 July after a grim 42-game grind that yielded just nine wins (a 21.4% win rate) and 43 points. Seba88 picks up the poisoned chalice, and — you've guessed it — there's a fresh vote at the club closing Wednesday teatime.

At Sevilla it's a changing of the guard of a gentler sort: stepn ends a proper reign (99 games, 51 wins, 182 points) with island stepping in — and a manager vote hanging over the new man, due to close Friday night. From La Paternal, whose vote was the very first to shut this week, all the way down the list to Surabaya, the pattern's identical: new gaffer in the door, pitchfork already sharpened.

That's the nature of the beast isn't it? We're all aware if we don't own 50.1% of club then we could be removed as manager at any time.

The rollover exodus

Part of the carnage is the season-turnover shuffle itself. When managers jump ship en masse, clubs get left exposed — a point DjHerro made pointedly in general-chat:

not just cleethorpes, but my managers, all moved from team to another team, meaning most of the teams have had that happen to them... wouldnt this be the peak time when managers roll out to other clubs.

DjHerro (Lincolnshire)

And it's not always a vote — sometimes it's a rescue mission. snaus74 spent the changeover scrambling to get a New Manager vote through at a club where the incumbent had gone dark for six days and let the contracts rot. His verdict on the fella in charge? That he was "almost destroying it." Harsh. Accurate, by the sound of it.

The glamour merry-go-round

Not all of it is knives-out. Some of it is proper elder-statesman stuff. Serie A winner Nickx announced he's stepping upstairs into a director role at Napoli and handing the reins to looplab for the new campaign:

HERE WE GO — looplab is going to be the new manager of Napoli in S4!

Nickx (Napoli)

Looplab, in turn, waved goodbye to Fiorentina and blessed FC Copenhagen's fatincasa as his successor there. A tidy, respectful chain of succession — the exception that proves the rule.

Because everywhere else this week, the rule is simple and it is savage: win, or the shareholders will find someone who can. Four days in, the sack race is already flat out. Keep the defibrillator handy.
