ALKMAAR'S ROOKIE PAYS 36.5M TO THE CLUB HE BACKS!

Two podium finishes, a 56M trading profit and two managers removed in eight weeks. Now Puglist, who arrived on Discord 43 days ago, is on both sides of Sunday's big deal.

ALKMAAR'S ROOKIE PAYS 36.5M TO THE CLUB HE BACKS!

At 13:48 UTC on Sunday, Alkmaar sold Alexandre Penetra Correia to Roma for 18.5M SVC. Less than 20 hours earlier he had been man of the match in a 1-0 win at Doetinchem.

Eleven minutes later, 36.51M went the other way. It paid Milton Keynes for Francisco Navarro Aliaga, an 81-rated striker. Both deals were made by Puglist, who joined the Soccerverse Discord 43 days ago. Nobody holds more Milton Keynes influence than he does.

The club's road to this point is worth retracing.

The Enty years

The story starts in the jobs channel on 11 January 2025.

I've unlocked you as manager, glad to have you on board

— Robkinsonn

The message was to Entyxx, a quiet newcomer who has posted 17 Discord messages in total. Nine days later he was in the transfers channel with a familiar complaint: "I'm looking for a cm around 80 rating, not much about on transfer list."

Entyxx finished fifth in Season 1 and left in August 2025. Haamid lost his only game in charge, and the job then went to EntyUK, a near-namesake whose unlock vote Entyxx supported. EntyUK took Alkmaar to second in Season 2 with 75 points. That was 22 behind a PSV side that lost once and scored 149, but two ahead of Ajax. In Season 3 they came third on 74, level on points with Enschede and 18 goals better off.

The transfer model was to buy cheap and sell high:

  • Sebastian Walukiewicz: bought for 4M, sold to Bremen a year later for 23.19M
  • Ismaila Coulibaly: bought for 20.2M, sold to Paderborn for 45M
  • Kees Smit: sold to Athens Yellow for 16.57M

Across the Enty years Alkmaar sold 140.06M of players and bought 83.63M, a profit of 56.43M.

The patron

Robkinsonn holds 11,700 of Alkmaar's 36,698 influence. Another 17,387 sits in a dormant "Reserved" block that has been selling at 3.76 SVC a share, and he has bought 1,587 from it since February. Leave that block out and he controls 60.6% of the club.

He was already answering newcomers' questions on Discord in 2022, and he has managed Maastricht since January 2025. He won a title there and was promoted. In Season 3, though, Maastricht finished bottom of the top flight on 18 points while Alkmaar came third. They are now fifth in Division 2.

Season 4 started badly for Alkmaar. In EntyUK's first six league games they won one, drew one, lost four and scored four goals. A vote to replace him with Cirake closed on 10 August, carried by Robkinsonn and Sludge. The record shows 12,954 votes to 8, and the 8 were EntyUK's own shares. Entyxx, who still holds 1,479, didn't vote.

EntyUK's last deal went through at 03:16 UTC that morning: Coulibaly's 45M sale. He banked a 24.8M profit on the day he lost the job.

Five days into his spell, Cirake spent 60.3M on Monaco centre-back Jan Kehrer. He took 16 points from 11 league games. On 3 October, Robkinsonn, Snaus and protagonist voted in Puglist, and Robkinsonn's shares made up 97% of the votes cast.

The newcomer

Puglist arrived on 12 September. He took Freiburg that day and gave it up less than three hours later, then had three games at Bunschoten in Division 3. Three weeks after arriving he had a club that had just finished third. His first game, a 2-2 at Nijmegen, kicked off 102 minutes after he was appointed.

He follows the real club. On Discord, where he posts as puglist_, he asked why some Eredivisie players hadn't been added to the game, and gave one example:

been at Jong AZ alkmaar for a few seasons, now even first team

— puglist_

His results have been decent. Alkmaar are unbeaten in four away league games under him: wins at Enschede and Doetinchem, a 2-2 at Nijmegen and a 3-3 at champions Eindhoven. He has 9 points from six league games, and in the cup they beat Den Haag 2-0 and got past Kerkrade 5-4 on penalties. He has used five formations in eight matches.

The wage isn't the attraction. Alkmaar have paid him 6.85 SVC so far, in instalments of 1.37. He invests instead, and his portfolio runs to 65 positions. On 20 October he minted 49,899 shares in Dave Kwakman, a 22-year-old Dutch midfielder in his own squad, for 6,621.60 SVC. Four days later Kwakman scored the only goal at Doetinchem.

Seven minutes after the 3-3 at Eindhoven, Robkinsonn sent Puglist 3,300 SVC. The ledger doesn't say why.

The Milton Keynes question

On 9 October, IronfjordCapital transferred 51,865 Milton Keynes shares to Puglist off-market in a single transaction. He now holds 52,261, or 35.8% of the club, the largest stake. On 13 October an account called PuglistMKD became Milton Keynes manager. Five other accounts with his name manage clubs where he holds influence, Ourense and La Paz among them.

Milton Keynes paid Madrid Red 24.34M for Navarro Aliaga in January. Alkmaar have now paid 36.51M for him, so Milton Keynes made 12.17M, and the largest shareholder in Milton Keynes is Alkmaar's manager.

The signing makes some football sense. Troy Parrott, Alkmaar's 83-rated striker, is injured until 21 November, and prices are high this window. Alkmaar paid 30M for 79-rated Tae-Hyeon Kim, and West Ham paid them 42.94M for a 79-rated 22-year-old Dutch attacker. Puglist's own dealing is close to level, with 64.54M in sales against 66.56M in signings. Even so, he was on both sides of a 36.5M deal.

Since EntyUK left, Alkmaar have spent 62.32M more than they have received. A Kehrer sale would bring that down. He is listed at 50M, Leverkusen have bid exactly that, and the auction closes at 09:54 UTC on Wednesday. Alkmaar would lose 10.3M against what they paid, but they would also shed his 425,350 SVC wage, which is 31.6% of the wage bill.

What makes them Alkmaar

The core of the squad has stayed through all of this. Fourteen of the 23 players have never been transferred, including Mijnans, Koopmeiners, Goes, Meerdink, Owusu-Oduro, Osei Addai, Van Bommel, Kasius and Kwakman. The stadium has grown from 19,500 seats to 22,607.

Alkmaar are 12th on 29 points, 24 behind leaders Ajax. On Saturday they play Arnhem at home. Arnhem's manager is Snaus, who helped vote Puglist in and transferred him 1,000 Bunschoten shares in September. Robkinsonn chose this manager, and he will be watching the result.
