One holder, one vote, job gone

In March 2025 steli27 told the server "I'm guiseley and ulsan manager", and the chain fills in the rest. KoreaKing had been Guiseley's only manager since January 2025, until Monday. In that time he played 140 games and won 97, drew 24 and lost 19. Guiseley finished first, second and third in their first three seasons and now sit 4th in England's sixth tier, with 50 points from 22 games.

The ballot closed on Sunday night: JohanCruyff 16,835, KoreaKing 0. All of those votes came from sowiriro, Guiseley's biggest influence holder. Turnout was 30%. Snaus (13,690) and snailbrain (11,000) didn't vote, and KoreaKing didn't use his own 7,232 either. KoreaKing and Snaus together hold 20,922, which would have been enough to win.

In May the same 16,835 votes had saved KoreaKing from a challenge by ruimiguel, 16,835–550.

sowiriro manages Macclesfield, who are 3rd in England's eighth tier, two divisions below the club he's just shaken up. Guiseley are JohanCruyff's fourth club since 25 September, after Białystok, Heraklion and Lancaster. He left Lancaster in the same second he took over at Guiseley, then won his first game. Keep it tidy in the replies, lads.

Musical chairs, R9 style

R9Fenomeno holds influence in 19 clubs. That includes 79.8% of Tenerife, 67.9% of Wigan and 83.6% of Laval. Here's how Chairman has moved between them:

• 19 August: R9Fenomeno's 22,000 votes make Chairman manager of Tenerife.
• 16 October: After 13 games (3W 4D 6L), the same 22,000 vote him out for BorraBotas, 22,000–0.
• 21 October: Wigan's Sirwiz goes at 15:47 UTC. matdf1985 lasts 13 minutes, and Chairman takes over at 19:05.
• 20:37 and 20:38 that night: Two ballots go in 52 seconds apart. At Laval it's bonani7 against Chairman; at Wigan it's Chairman against bonani7. That's a straight swap.

bonani7 only arrived at Laval on 6 October. R9Fenomeno's 33,067 votes put him in on a ballot that also listed a "bonan7". In four games since, he has one draw and three defeats, and Laval are bottom of France's third tier on 15 points. Wigan are 13th in England's third tier. Voting opens tonight and closes on Sunday.

This has happened before. On 5 March PablitoAimar left Laval and took over at Wigan inside an hour, and R9Fenomeno's 35,668 votes confirmed him. He now runs Kaiserslautern, another club where R9Fenomeno holds influence. It's within the rules and it's his influence to use. But if he's your backer, la, keep a bag packed.

On the hot seat

The chain logged 247 manager appointments between 11 and 21 October. These are the ones to watch.

Houston. A ballot to replace Mock with HamBurglerFC went in at 15:46 UTC on Wednesday. Forty-two minutes later, HamBurglerFC posted:

Cipi | El Rincón del DT pointed out that the chat sometimes doesn't show the +1 notification. HamBurglerFC replied that not seeing "a little icon on your main page just tells me you are deliberately ignoring". The manager rankings show Mock was last active on 12 October. Houston are bottom of the US top flight with 7 points from 22 games, and Mock's own record is 2W 1D 13L from 16. HamBurglerFC holds 500 Houston influence. Voting closes on Sunday.

Bochum. Daviola, who holds 1,423 Bochum influence, is challenging iu21. iu21 has been in charge since May 2025, with 30 wins, 37 draws and 49 defeats in 116 games. Bochum are 15th in Germany's second tier with three wins from 22. Voting opens Friday.

Other ballots. syn is challenging surusunda2 at Alkmaar B, who are 4th in the Dutch third tier, while surusunda2 is himself on the Çorum ballot against Firestarter22. mustafadede is on two ballots at once, against Enzito1924 at Kasimpasa and Notinmyhouse at Lizarra. And at Varnsdorf it's DKTeam against... "Dk team". Explain yerselves.

Survived

Leicester are bottom of England's top flight with 5W 2D 15L, 11 goals scored and 45 conceded. Tedlasso still won his vote 4,501–0. All six voters backed him, including bothxyz, the name on the challenger's line. That's loyalty, pal.

Follow-up, and the ghosts at the top

The Toluca and Moskva Red ballots we flagged went through on 12 October. Bonani beat Con-Art 4,987–0 at Toluca, and Centerback beat Bonani 3,681–150 at Moskva Red. Bonani lost one job at 18:36 and started the other at 21:12. Toluca are 3rd in Mexico and unbeaten in his four games.

The top of the best-managers table is full of ghosts. DeepSeek (420 tactician points) and Sals (401) are first and second, but neither has been active since 6 July and neither runs a club. The best active managers are joint third on 398: ark at Arkadag şäheri and leanrosario at Strumica.
