Crystal Palace bid first. Marseille bid last, and paid the biggest fee of the weekend.

Marseille pip Palace

Liege listed 87-rated Nathan Ngoy at 08:00 on Tuesday 6 October with a 70M SVC minimum. Crystal Palace bid exactly 70M that evening. On Friday afternoon Marseille offered 70,700,001 SVC, and the auction closed in their favour at 19:00 on Saturday. That was an hour after ElChapito's side drew 1–1 at home to Janca's Paris.

Ngoy is a 23-year-old who plays left-back or centre-back. His game value is 15.38M, so Marseille paid 4.6 times that. His agent is Joachim, who is also Liege's largest influence holder with 40,465 influence. Liege are 16th in Belgium with one win in six, and they now have 76.2M SVC in the bank. Marseille have 71.47M left. They are level with Paris on 38 points, and Paris lead on goal difference.
