Buried in Soccerverse’s 2,000-message, 30-day Discord dump was a proper late-night fuse: dannycoggerwolves charging into the FA channel on 21 September to contest a ban involving Viborg.

The public FA notice names the banned game account as thommo, not dannycoggerwolves. Posted on 9 September, it imposed a six-month Rule IV ban until 9 March 2027 after a unanimous FA vote. The ruling alleged that thommo raided Viborg to move players elsewhere.

That is the FA’s allegation. Here is what the game ledger independently proves.

The 78.4M sale burst

During thommo’s July spell as Viborg manager, three players departed in six days:

• Lucas Lund Pedersen to Málaga on 10 July — 45,077,350 SVC
• Jean-Manuel Mbom to Sakarya on 12 July — 12,155,000 SVC
• Daniel Anyembe to Leeds on 15 July — 21,132,751 SVC

That is 78,365,101 SVC into Viborg’s coffers. Manager records place thommo in charge from late 9 July until late 30 July UTC, so the sales unquestionably occurred on his watch.

What the ledger cannot prove is motive. A transaction history establishes who moved, where and for how much; it cannot establish that somebody joined “just to raid,” as the FA notice claimed.

The defence was delivered without much diplomatic wrapping.

His narrower cash argument has some present-day support. Viborg currently hold 106,996,039.90 SVC. They are cash-rich but points-poor, sitting 18th in Denmark’s top flight with 10 points from 16 matches.

The identity wrinkle

The public details line up sharply. dannycoggerwolves said he manages Montrose and held Viborg influence. Game data show thommo currently managing Montrose, holding 23,619 Montrose influence and retaining 4,241 Viborg influence.

His current portfolio shows no influence in Málaga, Sakarya or Leeds, the three buying clubs. That supports the limited claim of no current affiliation with them, but says nothing conclusive about July.

Yet Soccerverse’s public identity resolver returns no verified game account for dannycoggerwolves. The Times therefore cannot present the Discord poster and thommo as formally verified identities, however neatly the details match.

Fine? Not for him

That suggestion received a two-footed response.

So the row remains gloriously unresolved. The FA have a verified managerial timeline, three verified transfers and their recorded vote. The protester has a real cash balance, no current holdings in the buyer clubs and a disputed question of intent.

The sales happened. The raid motive remains the fight. Until an appeal produces more evidence, that is the fairest line through the smoke.
