At 18:07 on 28 January 2025, Taddy’s first Vallecas spell ended. Nine minutes and one blink-and-you-miss-it return later, Alighost had the job.

The replacement had managed three competitive matches. His Soccerverse education was still being conducted in public.

Now the apprentice is third in ESP Division 1, five points behind Barcelona after 14 matches. Vallecas have seven wins, four draws and three defeats. Alighost has become what every new manager hopes to find: living proof that asking for help is not weakness.

The student took the keys

Alighost’s opening week contained three zero-match stopovers before he won two of three at Genova Red. On 15 January, he announced the purchase of his first influence and thanked Taddy and other community figures for their guidance.

Thirteen days later, he succeeded Taddy at Vallecas—the club Discord regularly calls Rayo.

There is no public manifesto explaining that choice. The paper trail says plenty. A newcomer sought Taddy’s advice, moved into the club Taddy had been shaping and stayed for 82 matches. After leaving in January 2026, Alighost returned twice: an unbeaten five-game burst containing four victories, then his present spell beginning on 12 May.

Across those three reigns he has managed 114 Vallecas matches and won 44. The club finished Season 3 in tenth; it now sits third. His current spell stands at 11 wins, nine draws and seven defeats from 27 games.

This is not simple job-hopping. It is attachment. Alighost owns 860 influence in Vallecas, placing him among the club’s listed leading holders. Taddy still holds 4,000—and publicly endorsed his former student in July.

That is the community’s verdict in one gloriously unpolished sentence: trusted manager, close friend, permanent resident if Taddy gets his wish.

Attack first, adapt fast

Alighost’s football is braver than Vallecas’ resources suggest. In their last ten league matches he used four formations: 4-5-1 four times, with the 4-4-1-1, 4-2-2-2 and 4-4-2 appearing twice each. Seven began with an Attacking style; two used Long Ball and one Normal.

The revealing moment came after consecutive 3-0 and 4-0 losses to Roda and Barcelona. Alighost did not keep charging into the same wall. He switched to a long-ball 4-2-2-2 and won 1-0 at Palma de Mallorca, then beat Valencia 2-1. Vallecas are unbeaten in five since those heavy defeats.

His latest visible plan starts as an attacking 4-5-1 around Carlos Rodríguez Gómez, Khalid Mumin Suleman and goalkeeper Kevin Mier Robles. It contains conditional changes rather than one desperate late gamble: a possible shift to Normal after 30 minutes, then branches toward a long-ball 4-2-2-2 or a countering shape after 61.

That is his tactical signature. Commit to attack, but keep exits open. The formation is a starting address, not a prison.

Value before vanity

Vallecas are challenging Barcelona with an average squad rating of 80 against the leaders’ 91. The club’s total player value is 66.67M SVC, while 77.65M SVC remains in the bank.

The Season 4 cash ledger records 24.09M SVC coming in through transfers and no transfer outlay. Alighost has worked with the inherited 25-player squad rather than shopping his way out of every problem.

That restraint fits the culture around him. Taddy’s public scouting brief for Vallecas demanded “low-rated hidden gems with underrated potential” and declared that “value is key.” Alighost’s transfer window has followed the same principle: preserve the core, protect the balance and squeeze more from the players already inside the building.

What makes him tick? The safest answer is not trophies—Vallecas’ game record still lists none. It is belonging. Alighost began by saying he loved the community, accepted that he had much to learn and repeatedly returned to the same dugout. His mentor handed him the keys; his friend now hopes he never gives them back.
