The live auction shows no high bidder and an empty bid list; the archival ledger also returns zero bids. This is an asking price, not an offer made to Barcelona and certainly not a completed deal.

Barcelona listed him on July 22 at 06:43 UTC. At our September 6 check, 1,118 hours — more than 46 days — had passed. Soccerverse Times found the same listing bidless after 18½ days on August 9. Nothing has shifted since: no opening bid, the auction remains unstarted and there is still no end time.

A 350M wall of silence

Barcelona’s current sale board carries three minimum prices: 150M, 110M and 90M SVC. Together they make a tidy 350M SVC, and all three listings are bidless.

Across 8,985 live market listings, De Jong remains the only player rated 97 or higher. His minimum is also the market’s fourth-highest asking price — and the three asks above it are likewise untouched. The chill at the top end is broader than one midfielder.

What 150M buys

De Jong’s numbers remain elite: 97 passing, 95 tackling and 83 shooting. Defensive midfield is his main position, with left midfield, central midfield and right midfield also available.

His game value is 50.62M SVC. Barcelona’s ask is therefore 2.96 times that figure, a 196.3% premium. His current Barcelona contract shows one season remaining, while the auction terms specify a two-season contract for a buyer.

The game currently lists him injured until September 9 at 20:00 UTC. His partial Season 4 league return stands at seven appearances, 498 minutes and a 6.86 average rating, without a goal or assist.

Barcelona, meanwhile, lead ESP Division 1 with 26 points from 12 matches. Their current cash balance is 59.14M SVC, meaning a full-price sale would equal 2.54 times the money presently in the club account.

Proper money, but no deal

The 150M threshold is ambitious rather than unprecedented. The Season 4 archive contains seven completed transfers at or above that fee.

But none of those precedents changes today’s verdict. The seller can point to elite scarcity and four-position versatility; a buyer sees the injury flag, one season left on the current contract, modest partial-season production and a price nearly three times game value.

The numbers tell the story. Watch for an opening bid, a price change or a withdrawal. Until then, 150M SVC remains a sticker in Barcelona’s shop window — not money on the table.
