One draw. Three places. Sevilla Green’s 1-1 at Almería lifted them from 20th to 17th because Leganés, Santander and Girona all lost. At Como, Lazio’s 3-1 defeat dropped them from 18th to last.

The pre-Gameweek 9 warning concerned famous clubs entering danger. This update is about compression. All three divisions have played nine matches; one result can now move a club several places.

For the fixture comparison, I averaged the current points held by each bottom-five club’s next five opponents. Lower is kinder. It is a schedule snapshot, not a forecast.

England: the perfect staircase

Brighton drew 0-0 with Liverpool and Brentford took a 1-1 at Chelsea. Below them, Leicester lost 2-0 to Everton, Tottenham went down 1-0 at Leeds and Coventry lost 2-1 at Burton-upon-Trent. That produced a proper one-point staircase.

Tedlasso is under immediate pressure. Leicester have conceded a division-high 20 goals and lost three straight. Their previous league finishes were 14th, fifth and 16th; the post-Season 2 direction is unmistakable. Their next-five opponent average is 13.4 points, the hardest among England’s bottom five, with only two home matches and two current top-four opponents.

Tottenham’s problem is creation rather than control: four goals in nine league matches. Nickx has used five formations across the last 10 matches in all competitions and selected an Attacking style five times. Variety has become churn because the output has not changed.

The route is there. Tottenham’s next-five opponents average 11.8 points, with three home games and direct meetings against Brighton and Brentford. Brighton’s 10.8 is numerically kinder, although leaders Burton-upon-Trent and fifth-placed Crystal Palace sit inside that sequence.

Raiden1 has no margin at Coventry: five points and three consecutive defeats. Three of their next five are at home, but the opponent average is 12.6. They need points before that runway disappears.

Spain: the draw that bought three places

Sevilla Green remain winless in six, but four draws in that run explain how 2XL’s side escaped the bottom three. The problem is what comes next. Their opponents average 15.2 points, comfortably the hardest Spanish sequence, and Roda, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca arrive consecutively as three current top-four sides.

Leganés possess the cleanest numerical route at 9.4 opponent points. Santander and Almería follow at 10.2. Better still, Gameweek 10 sends Leganés to Santander before they host Almería two rounds later. Those are six-pointers in the purest sense.

Girona’s case is tactical. FFR420 has used Defensive or Counter football in seven of the last nine tactical samples, with 5-3-2 the most common shape. It earned goalless draws against Barcelona and Madrid White, but Girona have scored only five league goals and are winless in six.

Their next five opponents are all between eighth and 13th. No giant, no fellow bottom-five side. That is a genuine opening — provided the low block starts carrying a transition threat. The historical line is troubling: sixth in Season 1, then 16th, 15th and now 20th.

Italy: five clubs inside one point

Gameweek 9 tightened everything. Sassuolo and Genova Blue drew 1-1, Monza held Udine 0-0, Catanzaro lost 1-0 at Napoli and Lazio were beaten at Como. Monza consequently occupy 18th on goal difference despite being level with 16th and 17th.

Lazio are the starkest underperformers. The table lists an average player rating of 84, while the squad analysis puts their best XI at 87.6. Yet Felpa10 has used Long Ball in all nine recent tactical samples. Seven league goals and 13 conceded is a poor return from that quality. One route, repeated regardless of opponent. Too easy to read.

Monza have Italy’s kindest next-five index at 11.8 opponent points. Genova Blue sit at 13.0, Lazio 13.2 and Catanzaro 13.8. Sassuolo’s 14.8 is the hardest and includes the current top two.

The immediate marker is Catanzaro against Genova Blue in Gameweek 10. One begins level with safety; the other starts one point below it.

Too big to go down?

That phrase is sentiment, not analysis. History does, however, explain the pressure.

Tottenham were Season 1 runners-up, finished sixth in Season 2 and won the Season 3 National Cup while placing 11th in the league. Lazio were Season 1 champions, sixth in Season 2, then fifth and National Cup winners in Season 3. Nineteenth and 20th are extraordinary positions for clubs with those records.

Sevilla Green had never finished below 13th before this campaign. Coventry, Santander and Catanzaro have different histories: all reached the top flight through second-tier promotion and have already lived close to the line. Their predicament is survival work continuing. Tottenham and Lazio represent genuine collapse from established standards.

The pressure verdict is clear: Tedlasso faces the worst defence and hardest English sequence; Nickx faces expectation and tactical churn; Raiden1 faces the smallest points total; 2XL faces the ugliest Spanish schedule; FFR420 faces a three-season slide; Felpa10 faces the widest gap between resources and results.

Gameweek 10 now brings Santander against Leganés and Catanzaro against Genova Blue. In tables this tight, the turning point is not coming later. It is already on the fixture list.
