Five first-versus-second fixtures on one Saturday. That is not hype; it is the Gameweek 10 card.
Austria, Brazil, Germany, France and Tunisia all put their Division 1 top two in direct opposition on 29 August. After nine matches, none of those leaders holds more than a three-point advantage. Four games kick off at 18:00 UTC; Brazil follows at 22:00.
The tactical picks
Salvador vs Laranjeiras
Second against first: 19 points against 22. Flipex’s Salvador are unbeaten, with five wins, four draws and a division-high 19 goals. Magni5’s Laranjeiras have won seven and conceded only twice.
The submitted tactics promise a proper central contest. Salvador start with an attacking 4-2-3-1; Laranjeiras use an attacking 4-2-2-2. The space around those double pivots will decide whether Salvador’s line of three can combine or Laranjeiras can release their two forwards early.
Rafael da Silva has five goals in seven league appearances for Salvador. Rodrigo Auzmendi has four in nine plus three man-of-the-match awards for Laranjeiras, including the 80th-minute winner against Flamengo last weekend. That 1-0 victory came with 23 shots and 12 on target. The leaders are not merely protecting their advantage.
Dortmund vs Frankfurt
Frankfurt arrive unbeaten: 23 points, 17 scored and three conceded. Dortmund sit three points behind, having allowed four.
Krille120’s Dortmund have selected Long Ball in eight of their past 10 matches across competitions. Fitz has recently shifted Frankfurt from an attacking 4-2-2-2 towards a 4-1-4-1 on Normal instructions. Second balls around Frankfurt’s midfield screen are the key. Hugo Ekitike’s five goals in five league appearances provide the punishment if Dortmund lose their rest defence.
There is also a recovery gap. Dortmund travel to Maribor in continental competition on Monday; Frankfurt’s next fixture is Saturday’s meeting.
Lorient vs Paris
One point separates Paris on 18 from Lorient on 17. LeTemile has produced three straight Lorient wins with the same 4-2-3-1 while changing the base instruction from Long Ball to Counter and then Normal. Same spacing, different route through the match.
Janca’s Paris have drawn two of their past three league games 0-0 using a passing 4-2-3-1, with a 3-1 win at Reims between them. Paris also host Genk on Monday while Lorient have no intervening fixture. A Lorient victory moves them above the champions.
Two more top-two collisions complete the set:
- Linz Black vs Wien Violett — Linz lead 23-22, have won six straight and own a 24-3 goals record. Wien’s five-match winning run ended last weekend.
- Radès vs Safāqis — Safāqis lead 23-21. Both are unbeaten across their last six; their goals records are almost mirror images at 24-7 and 23-8.
England and Italy add another squeeze
Burton-upon-Trent vs London Red
England offers first against third, separated by one point. Træner has used a 4-2-2-2 in all nine analysed Burton league setups, selecting Attacking in seven. Sjow’s London Red are less predictable in shape and have conceded a division-best three goals.
London Red face Galata on Monday; Burton go straight into Gameweek 10. Viktor Gyökeres, with five league goals in seven appearances, remains the obvious threat to Burton’s settled structure. This is superior depth against rhythm and rest.
Bologna vs Como
Bologna’s 14 goals are Italy’s best attacking return. Como’s three conceded are joint-best, and Tass’s side have won four straight to reach second on 19 points. Greenboy has kept Bologna on Normal instructions while rotating between a 4-4-1-1 and 4-2-3-1; Como currently show an attacking 4-2-2-2.
Thijs Dallinga and Anastasios Douvikas each have four league goals. Attack against defence, without an intervening fixture for either side. Clean conditions for a genuine test.
Derby edge and survival fear
- Milano Blue vs Milano Red — eighth meets fourth, although only three points separate them. AleDaCup’s Blue have used Counter six times across 10 matches but eight different formations. Taddy’s Red have used 4-2-3-1 seven times and Passing six times. Blue also host Napoli on Monday; Red arrive with greater structural clarity and fresher legs.
- Velsen-Zuid vs Kralingen-Crooswijk — twentieth hosts eighteenth in the Dutch basement game. Velsen have five points and only four goals; Kralingen have six points and 14 conceded. Their latest defeats were 3-1 and 4-3 respectively. Error control matters more than ambition here.
One weekend will not settle Season 4. It can expose who has a repeatable structure, who can absorb the continental turnaround and who is relying on the table to remain kind. Gameweek 10 is an audit. The numbers will do the shouting.
