There is a cut behind that billboard. The transfer archive recorded a 200M SVC listing on 25 July, followed by a new auction entry at 180M on 3 August. That is 20M off, or 10%. The bid ledger contains zero entries for Beraldo across the two auctions.

Why Paris are asking big

Beraldo is scarce stock. When checked, the live market search returned him as the only player listed at exactly rating 92. Narrow the search to 18-to-25-year-old primary centre-backs rated 90 to 94 and he was again the only result.

Across all four listed primary centre-backs rated 90 or higher, Beraldo carried the biggest minimum. None had a high bid.

Scarcity, mind, does not turn an ask into market value. Beraldo’s live game value is 38.3M SVC, putting the 180M minimum at 4.7 times that figure. The ask is also 2.4 times Paris’s current 75.5M SVC club balance.

He is no clearance player. The Brazilian is 22, can cover centre-back, left-back and central midfield, and has two seasons remaining on his contract. This league season he has made six appearances across 405 minutes, scoring twice, assisting twice and averaging 7.33 for FRA Division 1 leaders Paris.

Beraldo is Paris’s only active player auction. The next valid bid is 180M SVC. Until one arrives, the price has moved and the market has not — that figure is still a number on the window, love, nothing more.
