224-SECOND SHOCK! 80M BIDSTRUP DEAL, THEN 150M DE JONG ASK — ZERO BIDS

Barcelona’s 97-rated star is the market’s highest-rated listing, but the floor is 2.96 times his live value.

224-SECOND SHOCK! 80M BIDSTRUP DEAL, THEN 150M DE JONG ASK — ZERO BIDS

Two hundred and twenty-four seconds.

That was the gap between Barcelona completing an 80M SVC move for Mads Bidstrup and creating a 150M SVC listing for Frenkie de Jong on July 22. Eighteen and a half days later, the Dutchman still had zero bids when I checked.

Right, love, the deal check: 150M is Barcelona’s minimum asking price. It is not a bid. The live auction shows no high bidder, remains marked unstarted and has no end time. The archival bid table independently returns zero entries for this auction.

A proper premium

De Jong is the highest-rated player currently for sale. A market search for players rated 97 or above returned him alone, while a minimum-price sort placed his ask fifth in a snapshot of 8,875 listings.

  • Rating: 97
  • Age: 29
  • Position: DMC, also LM, CM and RM
  • Live value: 50.62M SVC
  • Wage: 1.27M SVC
  • Current contract: one season remaining

Barcelona want 2.96 times his live value. That is a 196.3% premium. He has played 408 ESP Division 1 minutes this season, averaging a 6.83 match rating.

The 224-second trail

Bidstrup’s transfer from Salzburg landed at 06:39:55 UTC. De Jong’s listing followed at 06:43:39. Both are defensive midfielders; Bidstrup is 25 and rated 87, ten points below De Jong.

That timing turns your head, but it does not prove Bidstrup was bought as a replacement. The numbers tell us only that Ralek17-managed Barcelona completed one midfield deal and opened the other listing 3 minutes 44 seconds later.

The club’s active-auction feed contains no other Barcelona player. Its current cash balance is 145.9M SVC, slightly less than De Jong’s floor, and the Dutchman has no completed transfer in the recorded history.

What happens next is simple. Somebody must put up 150M SVC to create the first bid. Until then there is no buyer, no auction deadline and no deal. An asking price, not money on the table.
