On Liverpool’s balance sheet, Biarritz is almost a rounding error.

The club’s August 1 entry booked 5.41 SVC under manager wages and 5,117,365 SVC under player wages. That evening, Liverpool beat Coventry 2-1.

Biarritz’s game-account balance is just 60.288 SVC. He holds no recorded Liverpool influence. Yet he manages a club carrying 112.91M SVC in cash and a squad valued at 246.88M — both the third-highest figures in England’s current top flight.

That is the human contradiction at the heart of this Liverpool: the smallest figure on the ledger is steering one of Soccerverse’s largest football empires.

When the Times last visited on June 9, Serrao10 had just handed Biarritz the job and Liverpool were provisionally third. The season ultimately ended with them fourth.

Nine matches later, the follow-up is much brighter: four wins, four draws and one defeat, with ten goals scored and six conceded. The only loss came against eventual champions London Red. Liverpool have opened Season 4 unbeaten, taking ten points from four matches and sitting third only because Crystal Palace and Burton-upon-Trent have superior goal differences.

The night shift from Nadroga

Biarritz was not a celebrity appointment. He briefly held the Pointe-Noire Red job without managing a match, then went to Nadroga in Fiji.

There, he managed 12 games and did not lose one: nine wins and three draws. He left Nadroga at 23:33 UTC on May 30 and became Liverpool manager just over eight hours later. His appointment followed the end of Serrao10’s tenure by only 68 seconds.

The live scale of those two jobs tells the story. Nadroga currently have 1,061 supporters, an 11,500-capacity ground and a 2.27M SVC squad. Liverpool have 53,183 supporters, 55,212 seats and that 246.88M playing staff.

Liverpool’s shareholders moved quickly. An unlock vote opened less than five minutes after Biarritz arrived and ultimately recorded 24,471 influence in favour with none against. Unlocking gives a manager authority over transfers, contract renewals and wages. They handed the operational keys to someone who owned none of the club himself.

The newsroom profile finds no linked Discord identity for Biarritz, while the public corpus returns no exact message hit. That absence is not evidence of shyness, so we will not invent a personality for him. His teamsheets speak clearly enough.

His current career record is 15 wins, seven draws and one defeat. At Liverpool alone it is six wins, four draws and one loss from 11 matches, including six clean sheets.

This season, he has gradually released the handbrake:

Three trophies, then the draw trap

Serrao10 built the empire Biarritz inherited. His Liverpool tenure covered 142 matches: 86 victories, 37 draws and 19 defeats.

Season 1 was domination — 94 points, 30 wins, 71 goals scored and only 14 conceded. Liverpool finished 20 points clear of Tottenham.

Season 2 was tighter but richer. Liverpool retained the league by two points, then completed a domestic double by winning all eight ENG Cup ties. They outscored opponents 38-2 in that run and demolished Newcastle 4-0 in the final.

Then came the retreat. Season 3 brought 64 points, only 39 goals and a fourth-place finish, 12 points behind London Red. Liverpool lost just six league games, but drew 16. A side that had once crushed the division became remarkably difficult to beat — and too easy to contain.

The dynasty’s league points fell from 94 to 74 to 64. Biarritz did not inherit ruins. He inherited a powerful machine stuck in a lower gear.

The 15.65M transfer miracle

Serrao10 once argued publicly for a shareholder brake on damaging deals:

Liverpool’s completed-transfer record reflects selective intervention rather than constant churn. Across Seasons 1 to 4, the archival ledger contains only 11 permanent deals:

• Six incoming deals — 203.70M SVC
• Five sales — 188.05M SVC
• Net spend — 15.65M SVC

Among today’s 20 ENG Division 1 clubs, Liverpool rank only 18th for completed purchase spending and 14th for gross transfer turnover. Their signed net spend is the third-lowest — behind two net sellers — and the lowest positive total in the division.

Since the handover, Liverpool have made no completed purchases. The Bellingham sale and Diogo Teixeira’s 3.32M move to Sumy produced 110.16M in gross fees, with 104.66M booked as transfer income on the club balance sheet. Liverpool currently have no buying bids on the live auction board.

This is stewardship rather than demolition. The club still registers 26 players, with 25 at Liverpool and one out on loan. Their average age is 26.19; six are 23 or younger, five are at least 30, five carry ratings of 90 or higher and six show only one contract year remaining.

That mixture is Biarritz’s real test. He must decide how long the decorated spine can hold, where the next generation enters and whether the Jobe Bellingham windfall becomes insurance or ammunition.

On August 5, Liverpool visit second-placed Burton-upon-Trent. Both clubs are unbeaten and level on ten points.

The old Liverpool announced themselves with trophies and a 14-0 cup victory. This version is quieter: an obscure manager, a changing formation, a carefully harvested squad and a 5.41-SVC line on a colossal ledger.
