Check the receipt before you reach for the siren: Season 4 has not produced the busiest opening market in Soccerverse history. It has produced the most expensive.

At the same point roughly 17 days into each season, the archival auction ledger shows 3,471 positive-fee transfers worth 21.213 billion SVC. Season 3 managed 3,892 deals worth 18.754B.

That means 421 fewer moves — down 10.8% — have cost an extra 2.459B SVC, a 13.1% spending rise. The average fee has jumped 26.8%, from 4.819M to a record 6.112M SVC.

The live transfer-history counter had already ticked to 3,476 completed moves when checked. The five-deal difference comes from that fresher counter; the season comparison uses the like-for-like archival snapshot.

Brighton steal the spending crown

Barcelona may own the record signing, but Brighton currently own the biggest bill:

• Brighton — eight arrivals for 645.85M SVC
• Barcelona — three arrivals for 634.12M SVC
• Madrid White — four arrivals for 485.45M SVC
• Bayern — three arrivals for 413.59M SVC
• Andorra — four arrivals for 217.73M SVC

Brighton lead Barcelona by 11.73M. More strikingly, their 645.85M outlay is the largest by any club at this same opening checkpoint across all four seasons. Bayern led the equivalent Season 3 period with 384.55M, meaning Brighton are running 68% higher.

That is an opening-stage record, mind — not a claim about completed full seasons.

Kane’s 398M wall survives

Harry Kane’s 398,564,561 SVC move from Bayern to Barcelona on July 7 remains the all-time transfer record.

The strongest subsequent challenge was Morgan Rogers’ July 10 switch from Bristol Red to Brighton for 239,261,850 SVC. That equalled Bart Verbruggen’s Brighton-to-Madrid White fee from July 5 but still finished 159,302,711 SVC short of Kane.

So the answer here is plain: no transfer since Kane has reset the individual fee record.

Busy — but not the busiest

Season 4 has also produced two enormous daily totals without taking either crown:

• July 9 delivered 576 transfers, second only to the 600 completed on July 12, 2025.
• July 4 generated 3.858B SVC in fees, behind the single-day record of 4.598B from January 3, 2026.

Taunton are the current activity kings with 18 moves — 11 players in and seven out. Debrecen Red’s Season 2 total of 25 remains the single-season club record, leaving Taunton seven moves from a tie and eight from breaking it.

Season 2’s game-wide total of 14,565 completed moves also remains the full-season volume benchmark. In other words, this market is moving more money, not more bodies.

Scoring records stay safe

England’s top flight is nowhere near record territory after its opening round. Fourteen players share the lead with one goal, while Daniel Tackie Welbeck owns the best performance score among those scorers with 10.

Across the live Season 4 fixture store, Andrii Boriachuk leads with six goals from two appearances. Boriachuk, Giorgos Manousakis and Thilo Töpken share the season’s best single-match haul with five each.

The final-stat all-time mark is still 12 goals in one match, jointly held by Georgios Giakoumakis and Berat Luş. This season’s best performances remain seven short.

The record-book verdict is checked and signed: opening total spend, average fee and club opening spend have fallen. Kane’s fee, the daily transfer and spending marks, the club activity record and the 12-goal performance all survive.
