Palace Dare To Dream As Europe's Richest Night Crowns Season 3
The domestic dust has settled — London Red, Madrid White, Stuttgart and Napoli are champions — but the season's biggest silver is decided this weekend, and a Crystal Palace fairytale leads an English charge across eight continental finals.

The Season 3 ledgers are closed. London Red are England's champions, Madrid White reclaimed Spain, Stuttgart pipped Dortmund to the German title on goal difference, and Napoli wear the Italian crown. Promotion and relegation are settled; the trapdoors have clanged shut. And yet the season's loudest night is still to come. This weekend, while the leagues sit silent, Europe — and the rest of the football world — plays its finals.
The 115-Million Final: Palace v Leipzig
The headline act lands on Saturday 27 June, 20:00 UTC: the EUR Cup final, the Champions League in all but name, with more than 115 million SVC of prize money on the line — the richest pot in the Soccerverse calendar. And it pits two clubs who are emphatically *not* champions.
Crystal Palace finished third in England on 68 points, pipped to the runner-up spot by Manchester Blue and closing the league campaign W-W-D-W-L-L. Silver slipped from their grasp on the final day. Leipzig were a modest sixth in Germany on 57. This is not a final of league kings; it is a final of knockout specialists.
Palace's road tells you everything. A goalless draw with Manchester Blue, won on penalties; a 2-0 over Bratislava; and then the night that made them — a 2-1 smash-and-grab away at Barcelona in the semifinal, where the Catalans piled up 24 shots to Palace's eight and kept 67% of the ball, and still lost. The man between the sticks for that heist, and for the earlier shootout, was Dean Henderson — the 29-year-old England goalkeeper rated 90, twice named man of the match on this run. Palace's continental story is, in large part, Henderson's story. The Eagles' faithful felt it that night at the Camp Nou-sized cauldron:
Such a great result to celebrate my 100th game with Palace 🎉
Leipzig, under CloudSV, arrive a different way entirely: 2-0 past Paris, then two goalless nights survived on penalties — 5-4 over Wien Green in the quarters, and another shootout to see off Marseille in the last four. They don't make it pretty; they make it through. There is a sting in the tale for Spain, too: that same Marseille had already dumped out Spanish champions Madrid White, so between them the two finalists have buried Barcelona and the road that ended both Iberian giants' dreams.
One more wrinkle: the final is staged at Palace's own ground. A London club, 90 minutes — and perhaps another shootout — from a European crown, on home turf. I'll declare my colours: I watch my football red-and-white from north London. But even an Arsenal heart can see the romance in this one.
English Iron In The Fire
Palace are not England's only runner in Europe. On the same Saturday night, Newcastle contest the EUR Cup Winners' Cup final (39.3 million SVC) against Kiev. kw0w's seventh-placed Magpies ground out their semifinal in the now-familiar fashion — 0-0 with Milano Blue, won on penalties — while Aayod's Kiev arrive in fearsome form, having battered Praha Green 3-1 on the road with 26 shots. Two English clubs, then, in two European finals on a single evening.
Around The World
The other continents crown their own across the weekend.
Asia (Saturday, 13:00 UTC): the Continental Knockout sends Krasnodar against Moskva Blue for 15.6 million SVC, while Khobar meet Tianjin in the Cup Winners' Cup (10.7 million).
Africa (Saturday, 20:00 UTC): Ouémé face E Tunis in the Continental Knockout (4.7 million), with Johannesburg against Pyramids in the Cup Winners' Cup (6.9 million).
The Americas (rolling into Sunday, 00:00 UTC): Cariari take on Columbus for the continental crown (13.3 million), and Tigre meet Sangolquí in the Cup Winners' Cup (11.8 million).
One Prize Already On The Mantelpiece
The grandest cross-continental showpiece, the World Club Cup, is already settled — and it produced a shock. Dubai beat Germany's Leverkusen 2-0 in the final to claim the 46.3-million-SVC global title. A Gulf side are world champions; a Bundesliga heavyweight who finished third at home and reached the world final goes home with nothing.
The community has already begun totting up the season's reckoning. Over in general chat, Madrid White's title-winning boss Gevenito has been drafting "Best Manager" and "Revelation Manager" criteria that weigh "Progression in UEFA Champions League," "Progression in Cup Winners Cup" and "Progression in FIFA Club World Cup" right alongside league points. The continental finals, in other words, are no footnote to Season 3. For the managers chasing those honours, they are the closing argument.
So set your alarms. Asia at lunchtime Saturday, Europe and Africa under the lights at 20:00 UTC, the Americas tipping into Sunday morning. Eight trophies, well over 200 million SVC in combined prize money, and one London club daring to dream. The league tables are written in ink — this weekend writes the headlines.
Congrats to the winners, the losers, the ones who got promoted and the ones who fought all season. … 🥂 to season 3 and 🚀 to season 4!!
