Eleven Promotions In One Post And A Whole Server Raising A Glass

Season Three's final whistle turned the Discord into one giant trophy parade — snaus74's worldwide haul, Napoli's Serie A crown, a Turkish double and a Division 6 thriller settled on the last kick

Eleven Promotions In One Post And A Whole Server Raising A Glass

Right, grab a glass — the league season's done and the server's gone proper giddy.

The official 📰︱sv-community-news noticeboard sat there gathering dust this week, not a peep on it. Didn't matter one bit. The celebrations just kicked the door in everywhere else instead: #general-chat, #match-chatter and even #jobs turned into one rolling end-of-season parade as Season 3's domestic tables locked in and the trophies got handed out. With the continental finals still to come before the season officially closes on July 4, the gaffers weren't waiting around to toast themselves.

The man who promoted half the planet

If there's a centrepiece to this party, it's snaus74 — and he knows it. The lad dropped a roll-call so long it needed its own scoreboard, congratulating "his boys" at nine clubs that went up this year, from SD Logroñés (Spanish 8th, winners) and Racing Colombes 92 (French 9th, winners) to União Lamas, Los Andes in Argentina, Dover, Offenburger FV, Ariana, Amasyaspor and Dom Bosco. Then he added two champions on top — Moso Sugar, Champions of Burundi, and Alay, Champions of Kyrgyzstan.

Eleven clubs across nine countries celebrating at once. And the man signed off exactly how you'd hope:

And congratulations for myself on this nice piece of self-promotion post, haha

You've got to laugh. Whatever you make of him, that's a season's graft right there.

Napoli's showman gets his crown

Over in Italy, the server's loudest streamer finally has the silverware to match the noise. Nickx steered Napoli to the Serie A title — 75 points, 22 wins, just 23 goals conceded all season and a closing run of five straight before the curtain fell. Days before it was sealed he was posting "1 point away from Serie A title!" in #match-chatter with a row of green ticks. Job done. Firenze and Milano Blue scrapped over the places behind, but the top of the table was painted blue.

A Turkish double 30 years in the waiting

tayfunk55 went one better and bagged the lot. His Samsun ran away with the Turkish top flight on a frankly silly 92 points — 28 wins, 79 scored, 21 conceded, a goal difference of plus-58 — and he says the cup came with it for the full domestic double.

We achieved the double with Samsunspor — a club that has never won a league title or a cup in real life — winning both trophies in sv. It was just as challenging in the game as it is in real life

That's the magic of this place, isn't it. A club that's never tasted it gets to feel like champions.

Division 6 went to the wire

Not every party needs a giant. Down in England's sixth tier, nickmartin0235 and his King's Lynn pinched the title on the final day — 78 points, 60 scored, only 18 let in, the meanest defence in the division. The twist? They snatched top spot from Cipi's Chesterfield by two points, having sat second for most of the run-in.

Kings Lynn are Division 6 Champions! 💛💙 Get in! 🔥

And the way the pair of them handled it is everything good about this community. Cipi led the group nearly all year, got pipped at the death, and still came out smiling:

You deserve it to win, you leaded the group almost all the season, I just had a moment of glory, to take a picture leading 😄 Good luck and let's hope that we will repeat the same result next season!

Best part of all? Both of them go up together to Division 5. Proper rivals, proper mates.

And the rest of the roll of honour

The wins kept coming. xlonefoxx secured top-flight survival for both Sassuolo and Cancun after dragging the pair up to the first division back in Season 2 — staying up is its own kind of trophy. tabard6 completed a "div4 to div2" double jump, a second promotion in a row, with MLS football to look forward to next season. And over in Italy's lower reaches, GreenFuryx, username_hamburgler and Serrao10 were toasting a promotion battle that'll see them "do some damages in 3rd division."

Which leaves the last word to hamburgler, who summed up the whole mood from #jobs better than I could:

Congrats to the winners, the losers, the ones who got promoted and the ones who fought all season. Without each and every one of you. This all wouldn't be possible. 🥂 to season 3 and 🚀 to season 4!!

username_hamburgler

Glasses up, lads. On to Season 4.
