Right, gather round, because while half of you were glued to the World Cup, the server quietly racked up a proper week of wins. Season 3 is coughing its last, Season 4 is warming up in the tunnel, and Discord spent the last seven days doing two things at once — celebrating the finish line and building the next start line. Let's run through the lot.
The bosses sat in the hot seat
The big one. The devs put themselves in front of the community for what Nickx (Napoli) hyped, fairly, as the biggest AMA yet — SnailBrain and Andy Gore taking live questions on Nickx's Twitch "Soccerverse Lounge."

For anyone who slept through it, Klo of svbase.eu did the community a favour and ran the whole thing through an AI recap so nobody missed the meat. Per Klo's summary, the headline talking point was fundraising — the team signalling a move away from plain cash injections toward something that works like a real capital raise:
Investors contribute SVC. Investors receive club influence in return. Similar to a real capital raise.
The same recap had the team flagging influence caps and dilution to keep inflation in check, the economy as the number-one priority (with an internal dashboard that might one day go public), a standing intention to open-source more of the codebase, and an honest hands-up on the match engine — dodgy subs and card behaviour are on the list, but only after the season transition is sorted. No new club competitions for Season 4, maybe a chat for Season 5. And a reminder of the scale of the thing: only around 5,350 manager seats to go around.
The appetite was real. The very next morning, yakarcaaa was already asking for an encore for the non-English speakers:
I ask you to upload the AMA video to YouTube. People who struggle with the language, like me, can watch it with subtitles in their own language. 😊
That, lads, is a community that wants in.
Tuesday, 5pm, ratings o'clock
Straight off the noticeboard: snailbrain dropped a firm date for the new player ratings in #player-ratings.
player ratings will be released and announced soon - to be released on Tuesday 5pm UK Time. Player positions will update - so keep that in mind.
The usual house rule applied — they won't be redrawing the lot for one wonky player unless there's a genuine bug hitting many — and tyki clarified the in-game refresh lands July 4th. Diaries out.
A hundred up and into a final
Now the bit I love — the personal milestones. Step forward blvck999, who picked the perfect night to hit a century:
Such a great result to celebrate my 100th game with Palace 🎉
And not just any result — a place in a final to go with it ("To the Final 🔥"). Gevenito was first with the bunting: "Double congratulations 🎊 👏 💐." A hundred games and a cup date in the same evening; you don't script those.
He wasn't the only one toasting. Serrao10 signed off a promotion campaign in style and is already eyeing the next rung:
Well deserved, great season 🔥 Lets do some damages in 3rd division 💪
And no roundup of title runs is complete without username_hamburgler, who turned his Leamington Day Spa promotion into a full Churchillian dressing-room sermon, all the way to the chant of "Leamington Day Spa! CHAMPIONS!" Meanwhile Gevenito took the season-finale heartbreak on the chin, still chasing a French crown to the final whistle:
Losing French league on the last day will be more disappointing for me than la liga.....I want to taste that French title 😋
That's the magic of the run-in: everyone's playing for something.
The community keeps building
Here's the bit that makes this server tick — nobody's just watching. nickmartin0235 rolled up his sleeves and published a full England matchday-income proposal, PDF data sheet and all, pitched to make the lower leagues more sustainable:
the majority of lower divisions see a nice boost in total income, keeping the overall league economy incredibly stable with a minor total net difference of just -28,585 across the entire pyramid.
A "top-flight tax" on Division 1 to bankroll the tiers below, a new merchandise stream, smart wage-scaling — and a refreshingly humble sign-off: "Just an idea and I am happy to take any criticism 🤣." That's how good ideas get built round here.
Elsewhere the community-run I.A.M Awards kept the ballots warm, with Gevenito rallying votes for the Fair Play Agent and Manager prizes — the one that "celebrates soccerverse leaders who define success through integrity, respect, and positive interactions." And over in #jobs the Season 4 market is already open, with clubs like Altrincham advertising weekly pay and end-of-season bonuses for an incoming gaffer.
So there it is. The bosses fronted up, the ratings have a date, a couple of managers got their moment, and the builders kept building. Season 3's nearly in the books — and on this evidence, the server's walking into Season 4 with its chest out. Up the community.
