SIX LISTINGS, ZERO BIDS, TOP OF THE LEAGUE! The Liverpool Legends Nobody Would Buy

Liverpool first listed Salah the day he hit a 99 rating, and they have now listed him six times without a single bid. Van Dijk sat on the market for 103 days. Biarritz kept them both, and Liverpool are three points clear. The bigger worry is a setting on a 23-year-old defender's contract.

SIX LISTINGS, ZERO BIDS, TOP OF THE LEAGUE! The Liverpool Legends Nobody Would Buy

One listing on the Soccerverse transfer market hasn't changed since 16 July. Mohamed Salah, 34, right wing. Minimum bid: 120M SVC. Bids: none.

This is the sixth time Liverpool have put him up for sale. The first was on 3 January, the day his rating went up to 99, the highest it has ever been. The asking price that night was 300M. Four days later it was 225M, and by late January it was 190M. A new manager listed him at 120M in June, raised it to 135M in July, then dropped it back to 120M. In 302 days, under two managers, nobody has bid once.

Virgil van Dijk's story is shorter but much the same. He was listed at 155.7M on 5 July and relisted at 130M on 16 July. After 103 days without a bid, Liverpool took him off the market on 27 October, while he was out injured.

The market didn't want Liverpool's old guard, and Liverpool kept them. They top ENG Division 1 with 50 points from 24 games, three clear of champions London Red.

The club nobody broke up

What sets this Liverpool apart is how little has changed. Of the 27 players on the books, 21 have never moved since launch. Salah, Van Dijk, Alisson, Robertson, Konaté, Szoboszlai and Díaz all still play for the club they started at. Since launch Liverpool have completed 12 transfers in and out, and that is the whole list.

The early chapters belonged to Serrao10: the first league title, then a league-and-cup double in Season 2. Season 3 went flat, with 16 draws and fourth place, 12 points behind London Red. In May Serrao10 handed over to Biarritz, who had gone 12 games unbeaten at Nadroga in Fiji.

One morning in July

One morning shows how Biarritz works the transfer market. At 10:55 on 4 July he listed Jobe Bellingham for 106,843,499 SVC. Five minutes later Andorra bid one SVC more. Liverpool had bought him from Sunderland nine months earlier for 7.995M, so they got back more than 13 times what they paid.

Six minutes after the sale, 16 contracts were renewed in one batch. The next day he listed Van Dijk at 155.7M and relisted Salah at 135M.

So the method is this: sell what someone actually wants, keep the core settled, and test the market for the legends. This season Liverpool have taken in 110.16M from sales and spent 18M. That 18M bought centre-back Chidozie Awaziem from Milton Keynes, 17 days after Van Dijk got injured. The bank holds 55.85M.

Biarritz doesn't explain any of this. He has no Discord presence and 168 SVC of his own money. The community talks instead. In August, after a report of the real-life Salah's move to Trabzonspor was shared in chat, UnAndaluz asked:

now the manager of liverpool will lower the salah price or he will wait another 2 seasons ?

— UnAndaluz

Three weeks later he answered his own question:

They have extremely high wages. Salah is in Turkey, and Van Dijk is getting old. If he wanted to sell him for a good price, I think he's already missed his chance

— UnAndaluz

He may be right. But the two men nobody would buy have been central to this season.

The run

Liverpool lost twice in August: 2-1 at Manchester Red, then 3-1 at home to Fulham. They haven't lost a league game since. That's 16 unbeaten, with 10 wins and six draws, including eight straight wins that ended with Saturday's 0-0 against Burton. They have kept 13 clean sheets in 24 games.

Luis Díaz has 11 league goals and Salah has eight, so the pair have scored 19 of the club's 39. Van Dijk kept seven clean sheets in his 13 appearances. Then he picked up what the game called a "trivial injury" in the 5-0 cup win over Milton Keynes on 5 October, and it ruled him out for 39 days. Two days later Liverpool won 1-0 at London Red without him, and they have taken 16 of 18 points since.

The switch

From here the story isn't really about the old men.

Six Liverpool players are in the last year of their contracts: Van Dijk, Salah, Díaz, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Jarell Quansah. Together they account for 93.45M of the squad's 249.34M value and 43% of its 5.21M SVC wage bill. Liverpool have signed 22 renewals since July, and none of them was for these six. Five of the six have their renewal option open. Quansah's is closed.

The 23-year-old centre-back has done his work quietly. He has kept 10 clean sheets in 13 league games, and his 7.46 average rating is the best of the six. On 26 June his agent set his "wishes to renew" option to No. That agent is krille120, who manages Dortmund and is Liverpool's second-largest shareholder with 8,500 shares (SoccerTitan holds 220,000).

The rule is clear. In the rule text santaclaus8259 posted in general chat in July, players whose agent sets that option to "No" "will always leave your club at the end of the season".

krille120 has used this lever before. In October 2025 he described a standoff at Wolves:

I have asked the manager to renew the contract of cunha for months. He wont so i added more bad morale players and ask him to renew cunha only and get all of them happy again.

— krille120

On 9 June, 17 days before Quansah's option was turned off, he complained that people "ask to renew contracts and you say ok and then they dont renew". The data doesn't show whether he meant Liverpool. It does show that he let Alisson, Conor Bradley and a third client of his renew at Liverpool on 20 July. Quansah's option has also been switched off twice before, in July 2025 and January 2026, and both times it was switched back on within 17 days. This time it has been off for 128 days.

The run-in

After King's Lynn in the cup on Monday and a trip to Leeds, Liverpool play the only two teams to have beaten them this season. Manchester Red come to Liverpool on 7 November, and Liverpool go to Fulham a week later. Van Dijk is due back on 13 November, the day before the Fulham game.

The league ends on 23 December, when London Red visit Liverpool.

Salah will probably still be on the market at 120M by then. Nobody bid for Liverpool's legends, and they may yet win Liverpool the title. The player Liverpool are at real risk of losing is the 23-year-old who has never been listed at all.
