THUN-DERDOME! 13 NO-RENEW FLAGS IGNITE AGENT BLAME WAR
Herzog says aggressive agents threaten the squad; artanis4218 blames passive influencers; brettwhipp points at an unnamed former boss.

Thirteen Thun players are currently marked do not renew. That live-data bomb turned #general-chat into a 33-message blame fight on Friday, with agents, influencers and an unnamed former boss all catching heat.
Herzog lit the fuse at 07:03 UTC.
Do we need a solution to protect clubs from aggressive agents? FC Thun is a good example. The club will lose half its players if nothing changes.
He alleged agents had begun to "worm their way into the club" and later described Thun as "squeezed and plundered" following a manager's departure.
joachim_95952 suggested negotiating with agents. artanis4218 instead swung responsibility towards the club's investors.
Its ok if you lose 1-2 players but if your team loses 5-6 to blame are the influencers
Then brettwhipp arrived with the counterattack.
Fc Thun is a bad example. The old Manager caused this problem.
He said he had receipts and claimed the unnamed manager would not communicate with agents, but did not spell those receipts out in the public exchange we retrieved. No former manager was named, so we are not guessing, la.
cloudsv_ piled on:
Example of a good team destroyed by a manager who doesn't understand the game mechanics. Probably won't be the last one.
For clarity, current boss Luchetto5 took over on 9 August. The chat's criticism concerned an unnamed previous manager, not him.
The live ledger
The game data confirms the scale, not the blame:
- Thun's owned squad contains 23 players, including two currently loaned out.
- 14 players have agents. Thirteen are marked renew false and transfer true.
- Of those 13, seven have one season remaining and six have two. They are not all immediate departures.
- Thun sit seventh in CHE Division 1, with five wins, two draws and four defeats from 11 games.
Herzog's "half" warning therefore has numbers behind it: 13 is more than half the squad. But the live state cannot establish why those settings were chosen, whether they will change or who caused the breakdown.
And "destroyed" is doing some work while Thun remain seventh on 17 points. Boardroom sirens, yes. Footballing ashes, nah.
This row was already loaded
Our 2,000-message sample from 5 August to 4 September contained 1,622 posts from #general-chat and 282 from #soccerverse-fa. Recent high-heat windows repeatedly returned to agent power, raids and multi-account control.
On 27 August, miguel8736 delivered the doomsday case:
From the beginning, the agent role hasn't been well-designed, and that's what will ultimately doom the game, which is a shame.
username_hamburgler rejected that completely.
To think that this game will die because people will agent their players is such a fallacy.
Ralek(Barcelona) offered a more structural answer: a separate Director role handling contracts and transfers while managers control line-ups. RodeoRexxx / SV Leaks later circulated another option—automatically listing agented, final-year players when no-renew is activated.
Skez's verdict
Fair shout to Herzog on the size of the risk. Fair shout to artanis4218 that influencers cannot sleep through contract decisions. brettwhipp's former-manager defence remains his side of the story unless those receipts enter the room.
The deeper problem is overlapping power: agents decide player futures, influencers protect club value and managers carry the footballing consequences. Thun have become the case study because all three roles can reasonably point at one another.
Separate those permissions or create a clean automatic exit route. Until then, talk before the contract buttons become weapons. Thun are seventh; their Discord dressing room is one click from mutiny. Keep it tidy, lads.
