Our database recorded 37167 games in 2018, played in 206 domestic leagues with 98311 scored goals. This gives an average of 2.65 goals per match (2017: 2.64). On national level, the average varies quite heavily. The countries with the lowest average are Bangladesh (1.57), Gambia (1.69) and Benin (1.70). The highest averages are found in Guam (6.49), Tahiti (5.41) and Macao (5.14).

44.6% of matches were won by the home team, 25.5% ended in a draw and the remaining 29.9% were won by the away team.
Again, there are some significant difference when looking at the national level. Nigeria (69.6%), Afghanistan (64.3%) and Indonesia (58.8%) had the highest home win percentages. The lowest can be found in Djibouti (29.4%), Montenegro (30.6%) and Kuwait (31.5%)
